I have been travelling
I have been traveling for the last couple of days and the expected Internet access was sorely lacking. From the little financial news I have seen it has not been a good time to be out of contact. Oh well.
The carnage in the stocks I follow (and own!) has been pretty fierce, but it seems no sector has been spared. I had a long plane ride (10 hours) the other night sitting next to a fellow who makes a living day trading. We had some interesting conversations concerning momentum vs. fundamental investing. He was of the opinion that fundamentals just do not work in the modern stock market. From what I have seen recently, I think he has a valid point, at least in the short term.
I am doing a bit of vacation for the next two weeks, but hope to get some time to do research and posting. If you have signed up for my RSS or email feeds, now would be a good time. More later.
