Income Portfolio
In the fall of 2007 I started a tracking portfolio on this site of the stocks I was interested in and considered good values. As time progressed I decided to split my stock followings into a pair of portfolios, this Income Portfolio and what I now call an Opportunities Portfolio starting April 1, 2008. The portfolios started as equal dollar weighted holdings of each stock and the returns were calculated and the portfolio rebalanced each quarter. No attempt was made to adjust positions during the quarter unless I added or completely dropped a stock. Now I have taken the next step with active portfolio management and tracking. The new tracking starts with the positions of July 1, 2008 and a $20,000 initial cash balance. Current portfolio value and daily results are available below:
Note: the percentage return calculation is currently seriously out of whack. I am working with the portfolio website to straighten it out. In the meantime, see the current value, compare to the $20k starting value and calculate a return.
